Footbag Freestyle
In the four classical freestyle disciplines, the winner is the most complete freestyle player. The competitors must be able to entertain and show technical various skills without dropping the bag too much. Only the very best will be able to play a drop less routine. There is an artistic and technical side to the classic freestyle disciplines.
- Intermediate Single Freestyle
The intermediate discipline is intended for less experienced players but is nevertheless a great attraction. Routine time: 1 1/2 minute (plus optional 30 seconds intro).
- Men’s Open Single Freestyle
Open singles freestyle is exclusively for the best freestyle competitors in the world. In this discipline the audience will encounter unbelievable tricks and combinations to the beat of the music. See it to believe it! Routine time: 2 minutes (plus optional 30 seconds intro).
- Women’s Open Single Freestyle
Of course footbag is for girls as well as boys and this discipline is for the female freestyle competitors. There is an increasing number of competitors each year and their technical ability is exploding. Routine time: 1 1/2 minutes (plus optional 30 seconds intro).
- Open Double Freestyle
Open doubles freestyle or “team freestyle” is a great alternative to singles freestyle, for the competitors as well as the audience. See what happens when two legs turn into four! Routine time: 3 minutes (plus optional 30 seconds intro).
There are three new types of freestyle competitions, all purely technical, which have been part of the Euros since the beginning of this millennium. You better show up if you want to experience some real hardcore freestyle action.
- Men’s Open Shred30
Shred30 is a discipline where a high number of hard tricks and fast moves must be executed within 30 seconds. In footbag language “shred” means that the players push the limits when linking tricks. The player who demonstrates the most unique and difficult tricks with the fewest drops wins. These hardcore boys can shred!
- Women’s Open Shred30
Shred30 for Woman is a completely new discipline at the Euros introduced for the first time last year at the Worlds. The skill level and number of the female freestyle players have increased radically and they are now ready for their own shred competition. The best girls are able to link hard tricks and show some real attitude!
- Open Big 3
Three hard tricks must be linked together and executed with clean dexterities. Get ready for amazing combinations of three hard tricks. Each player gets 5-7 attempts. A buffet of the biggest and most difficult tricks in the book will be on the menu in this special competition. Bon appetite!
